Appointment Guidelines

General: Except for emergencies (asthma attacks, lacerations, etc.), please do not bring your child to the office to be examined if he or she does not have an appointment. We can improve diagnostic accuracy and minimize waiting room delays for both you and other patients if you'll be courteous enough to call ahead for appointments.

To make an appointment for a well check-up, follow-up, or ADHD follow-ups, please call as much in advance as possible. That way we are able to schedule a time for your child that is convenient for you and for us. For more urgent situations or illnesses, we do our best to schedule your child for that day.

The doctors do their best to keep on schedule; however, emergencies arise which may cause you to wait. Please be patient with us, knowing that if you had an emergency, we would put you first.

Rescheduled Appointments: We recommend and greatly appreciate that you call the office 24 hours in advance to make or change an appointment. This will give another child the opportunity to use your original appointment time. If you are running late or are unable to make an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. If you are going to be more than 20 minutes late for a well check-up, you may be asked to reschedule for a later day.

Family Appointments: Please do not ask the doctor to just take a quick look at another child as long as we are here. Quick peeks lead to diagnostic inaccuracies and an additional fee, which your insurance will not cover. Please schedule an appointment for each child that needs to be seen.
